An introduction to Eixample Apartment

How would you describe Eixample Apartment in a nutshell?

The Eixample apartment is a loft-like space in natural colours and adorned with eclectic artifacts. It has a balcony at the front that looks out onto the popular, leafy street of Enric Granados. Its distinctive charm can be seen from the restored doors, the original Catalan-style high ceilings and the exposed copper piping that lines the walls and the ever-present paper lanterns effortlessly floating throughout the apartment. After a day of exploring the city, the Eixample apartment is the perfect place to relax with a glass of cava.

What would you say is your philosophy?

Our intention was to create a warm, artisan haven unassumingly and wonderfully set against the 15 meters exposed brick wall, with striking original features, permitting the discerning visitor to partake in an extraordinary Barcelona experience.

Do you offer your holiday guests additional services apart from the stay?

We provide our guests with a personalised list of recommended places to eat and drink and we are also collaborating with local businesses in the city that dedicate themselves to helping visitors experience the real Barcelona by offering customised trips for the family, an intimate tapas tour, wine tasting at your location and more.

Eixample Apartment rooms & rates

Eixample Apartment is a 90 sqm artisan paradise with a cosy and warm feel to it. From the Boucherouitte Moroccan rugs beautifully dotted around the apartment like works of art, to the restored doors and exposed brick wall, the space is very considered and is most definitely a home away from home.

The long corridor connects the main living area at the front with lots of light, to the tranquil dining area to the rear of the apartment rental with the glass-enclosed balcony with views over the neighboring terraces. It has a bohemian feel, planters decorate the walls and there is a sliding wall from the dining room from where you can access the spacious and light bedroom. From the small balcony in the living room, you can overlook the beautiful, green lined Enric Granados street.

Things to do in Barcelona

  • Art / Culture
  • Shopping / Markets
  • Night life

The Eixample Apartment is located in the heart of the elegant Eixample district, 3 blocks from Passeig de Gracia, hosting some of the most exclusive shops in the city beautifully juxtaposed among some of Gaudi’s architectural gems. Gayxample, the gay district with an abundance of nightclubs, shops, bars and restaurants is located within 5 minutes walking distance.

A must is a visit to Barri Gotic which is the oldest part of the city, oozing lots of character and charm. Next to Barri Gotic is Raval where you will find not only the MACBA museum for contemporary art but also many galleries, boutiques and restaurants. On the other side of Barri Gotic you’ll find the stylish El Born district offering fashionable shopping, young independent designers, delicatessen shops, fine restaurants and hip bars for late nights out.

Another interesting district next door is the Sant Antoni part of Eixample with the beautiful Sant Antoni market. This area has recently reinvented itself as the place to go for excellent food.

The beach and the area of Barceloneta are located on about 25 minutes walking distance through Barri Gotic.

The location of Eixample Apartment

The holiday apartment is located on the semi-pedestrianised street Enric Granados and is ideal for those that are attuned to a more laid back lifestyle. There is an abundance of places to eat outdoors, benches to sit and take in the scene and cute squares. We particularly like the art galleries, relaxed vibe at Cosmo cafe, which also showcases local exhibitions and the most delicious and innovative food at the delightful small Gresca restaurant.

Passeig de Gracia, which is just 3 blocks from the apartment, you’ll find La Pedrera, one of Gaudi’s most famous works of art. Passeig de Gracia also hosts a plethora of leading fashion houses.

Gayxample, the gay district, also set in the elegant Eixample area, is close by and among the cosmopolitan side of town. Excellent hotspots reside in this lively part of town.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

Barcelona has an ideal climate, good for visiting year round. In spring time the weather is usually very pleasant and often we have clear blue skies. From May through October long, sunny summer days are guaranteed. January and February are a bit colder, but there are still lots of things to do and museums and exhibitions to visit.
