What a view. Period.
The villa is spare yet elegant and has everything you might need for a relaxing island vacation.
Oia is so romantic, you should definitely come here with your other half for an amorous getaway.
You'll love Oia's multicoloured houses set right on the cliff's edge and the cobbled marble streets.

Oia's narrow streets and winding steps are quite a pretty sight and might be a bit of an exercise.

An introduction to Oia Villa I

How would you describe Oia Villa I in a nutshell?

Oia Villa I is a holiday villa rental on Santorini in Greece with amazing views of the Caldera, one of the most beautiful spots on the island and in the world.

Oia Villa I and II are adjacent cave houses dug into the Caldera cliff several centuries ago. We have completed a substantial refurbishment since we acquired them a few years ago.

What was your inspiration to restore the villas and rent them out to holiday guests?

My wife is an architect (born in Greece and educated in Sweden) and her architectural thesis focussed on Cycladic traditional architecture. It was therefore natural for us to look for a house of our own in this region. My wife initially found Imerovigli Villa for our family and we subsequently bought the Oia villas for our two daughters. Until we finally move to Santorini we thought it would make good sense to also let other people enjoy the fruits of my wife’s work.

To you personally, what has been the biggest reward about running these two holiday villas?

As a memory for life exceeding our guests’ high expectations creating a strong desire to return as quickly and as often as possible!

In addition to all the views over the Caldera and the surrounding Aegean archipelago I would cite the following attractions: Skaros off Imerovigli, which was the centre of the Venetian settlement in medieval times; the excavations in Akrotiri — a village that was preserved after the major volcanic eruption some 3,500 years ago. The volcanic islets in the Caldera and the sister island Thirassia are also worth a trip. And of course, you should not miss the sunset in Oia!

Verfied Welcome Beyond stay
Breathtaking views! Very elegant, spacious and well equipped villa in a traditional style with a modern touch. Great location in the heart of old Oía and breathtaking views over Aegean.

The location of Oia Villa I

Oia Villa I and II are dug into the Caldera cliff in the centre of Oia village which is probably the best known and most photographed location in the entire Greek archipelago. Oia is famous for its legendary sunsets and is situated on the northern tip of the island some 15 kilometres north of Fira.

Oia is one of the most beautiful spots on Santorini, which in turn is one of the most spectacular locations in the world.

When is the best time to visit Santorini?

During the warmer months, so April until November, would be the best time to come to Santorini. The temperatures are still nice and there is barely any rain. Summer ist the best time for nightlife, for sightseeing we'd recommend Spring and Fall.
