Please tell us about the food.

Our delicious continental breakfast including typical Sicilian fresh produce and pastries is served in a corner of the ‘palmento’. Lunch is usually a light meal served by the pool with salad, homemade pasta and southern Italian specialties. Dinner at the restaurant gives you the possibility to taste typical Sicilian cuisine with a fresh touch.

Is your hotel best suited for couples, families, groups? What’s your policy on kids?

Kids and pets are welcome like in every family! We are happy to provide cots on request and usually also provide toys that kids can use in the swimming pool (inflatables and little items).


On request, we can also organize a babysitting service. In any case, kids will enjoy special treatment by all the staff who are happy to entertain them during the day.

The hotel is composed of the villa, which is the main building, the farmhouse, which today is our spa and the suite, the animal barn, which was converted into rooms, and the ‘palmento’, the former wine press which is now our restaurant and lounge bar. The hotel has 12 rooms for a maximum of 31 people, beautiful gardens, a swimming pool and a fitness area. 


We have 3 Classic rooms, 1 Superior room, 2 Deluxe rooms, 2 Junior suites, 2 Family rooms, 2 Suites and 1 Exclusive suite. The most popular is the Deluxe room because it is comfortable and not the most expensive one.

For me, the most beautiful room is the Suite because it is very comfortable (also for 4 people), it has a living room with a fireplace and a private patio overlooking the swimming pool.

We highly recommend a trekking or Jeep 4x4 excursion on Mount Etna. The coast with its beautiful beaches is also only a short drive away. Besides relaxing at the beach, you can also go on a boat trip or fishing excursion.

We offer cooking classes with our chef and wine tastings of some of the best wines of Sicily. The wonderful Benanti winery is also within walking distance. You can taste some excellent wines there.


And finally, we also offer yoga, pilates and fitness sessions.

Verfied Welcome Beyond stay
What a beautiful place, glorious food and a 5 star service. It has everything in one place for a perfect relaxing but also exploring holidays. Better to go in May and/or June, as the weather wasn't on our side and we could only enjoy swimming in the pool when using the spa and on the last day. Can't fault it would go back and stay forever if i could. The restaurant tasting menu must TRY!!

The location of Relais San Giuliano

Relais San Giuliano is located on the east side of Sicily, in a little city on a hill at the foot of Mount Etna, near the most beautiful Sicilian sights to visit. Catania is only 15 km away, Taormina 25 km and the beautiful towns of Ragusa and Noto are only 100 km away.

In this part of Sicily, you can find slow food, historic sites, traditions, heritage, the wonderful coast and the dramatic mountains.


When is the best time to visit Sicily?

Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, Sicily is perfect to visit all year. The sun is shining almost every day, but for me the best times are spring, the beginning of summer and autumn.
