Masseria Moroseta
Masseria Moroseta is a charming bed & breakfast with six rooms amongst a 5 hectares organic olive grove between the Mediterranean and the white town of Ostuni.
It is simple, peaceful and magical.
Tra Cielo e Mare
How would you describe Tra Cielo e Mare in a nutshell?
Overlooking the main square of Vieste’s marina, Tra Cielo e Mare is a historic building that has been restored with a contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic. With sweeping views of the sea, it is a privilege to be inside the building. I always think “how lucky I am to be here right now”.
What is the story behind Tra Cielo e Mare, what was your inspiration to create it?
Pasquale and Carmela De Candia are the team behind the restoration of Tra Cielo e Mare, which was driven by their love of design and beauty, as well as the area itself. They preserved the historic atmosphere of the building while drawing on natural materials, such as oak, stone and handcrafted fabrics. They then entrusted the property to my partner and me, who manage the day-to-day running of the hotel.
How would you describe the atmosphere and the interior design of Tra Cielo e Mare?
It is peaceful and magical, simple but charming.
On the first floor, there are two rooms with balconies that offer views across the sea and the piazza. There is also a bright kitchen with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea where breakfast is served. This remains accessible for guests all day so they can enjoy an afternoon coffee or an evening aperitif.
On the second floor are two smaller rooms, each with a window overlooking the square, plus two superior rooms with a direct view of the sea and the lighthouse. The interiors of the rooms are identical, with simple decor and natural materials, such as linen, stone and oak, plus luxurious tapware and textiles. The Classic rooms range in size from 15 to 18 sqm while the Superiors are larger (up to 25 sqm).
18 sqm, king size bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating. Private balcony with outdoor table and chairs, central view of the square and the village, lateral view of the sea.

23 sqm, king size bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating. Private terrace overlooking the sea, outdoor seating with soft cushions for relaxing or reading a book in front of the lighthouse island.
25 sqm, king size bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and heating. Private balcony overlooking the sea, outdoor seating with soft cushions to relax or read a book in front of the lighthouse island.
Breakfast is included in the rates and is made using local ingredients. Parking is available but not included and costs between EUR 8,00 and 10,00. We can also arrange for wine experiences, boat cruises and village tours, all of which are charged separately.
Just a few steps away is the harbour where you’ll find plenty of restaurants. You can rent a little boat and enjoy the marvellous coastline or make a day trip to the Tremiti Islands. A few metres from the property is the small Marina Beach where you can wade into the sea to reach the lighthouse. The town’s two seaside promenades are 10 minutes away.
Surrounded by Gargano National Park, Vieste is on the east coast of Puglia, around 1.5 hours’ drive from Foggia. Tra Cielo e Mare is in the old town of Vieste, overlooking the Piazza della Marina. Everything is just a few minutes away on foot, including restaurants, the beach and sightseeing attractions.
The coastline of Gargano National Park is always changing and never boring. It lies between the sea and the hills, with the landscape covered by maritime pines.
