Villa Peduzzi
This is a spectacular villa with an unforgettable view of Lake Como.
The villa is set on 4 acres with big trees surrounding the grounds for complete privacy.
It’s also a great place for kids with a great playground and a zip line.
Going to the lake by car takes around 30 mins but you can take the cable car which is in walking distance to the house and you’ll be sitting at the lake in 15 minutes.
How would you describe Villa Peduzzi in a nutshell?
Villa Peduzzi is an architecturally designed villa that’s been renovated to a luxurious standard and boasts one of the best views in the world.
How would you describe the atmosphere and architecture at Villa Peduzzi?
Villa Peduzzi is a liberty villa dating from the early 20th century that’s been completely reimagined by a Singapore-based interior design company. They’ve retained touches of its history (such as ceiling frescoes) but with a distinctly modern style. An infinity pool offering 180-degree views of the lake has been added as well. It’s both vibrant and historical at the same time.
The villa has nine bedrooms in total but we only rent out eight bedrooms and six bathrooms as one is kept private for the owner’s use. The property can accommodate up to 16 people but we suggest just 14 to ensure guests are comfortably accommodated in the living and dining spaces. There are 3 floors all easily accessed via an elevator.
On the main level is the entry hall and two lounges (one with a TV and the other with a piano), as well as a study, the main kitchen and the dining room. If you go downstairs there’s a beautiful gym with stunning views and a sauna, plus an additional toilet.
The first floor features four bedrooms — a master suite, a junior suite and two double bedrooms that share a bathroom — and the same again is repeated on the second floor. The third floor is home to the entertainment room, with a cinema and sound system, a pool table and another bathroom.
There are beautiful terraces all around the main house leading to the infinity pool and a standalone pool house where you’ll find another kitchen and sofas where you can soak up the views. We also have a children’s playground with a treehouse, a trampoline and a zip-line to keep kids entertained.

Guests can enjoy complimentary use of the gym, mountain bikes, the jacuzzi and the 22 metre heated infinity swimming pool offering 180-degree-views of Lake Como. We provide a chef and assistant as part of the rental price to prepare authentic Italian meals. The menu changes according to the season and can be reviewed according to the guests’ needs, with the chef meeting with the guests each day to determine the following day’s meals. She will also do the grocery shopping, although groceries are charged separately.
Housekeeping and cleaning are also included in the price and we have an on-site villa manager who is the main point of contact for guests. She can provide recommendations and organise tours throughout the region, as well as cooking classes or tasting sessions at the villa. Massages or beauty treatments at the property can also be organised, as can a private driver for day trips or your entire stay.
A private Axopar 28 Brabus motor boat is moored at the bottom of the funicular in Argegno. It is available to hire for half or full days together with our private skipper/captain.
The villa enjoys rapid Wi-Fi, English satellite television channels, Sonos audio systems, children’s electronic games (PS4 and the Wii) and a wide selection of board games. There is a playground with a treehouse, a trampoline and a zip-line for the children.
Dyson air conditioning fans are in all bedrooms and they can be easily shifted to the other rooms/common areas when required.
No matter what guests desire, we can usually organise it, whether it’s a musician to play at the villa in the evening or a private jet to go shopping in Paris for the day. We just request that they let us know ahead of time so we can make the necessary arrangements.

I definitely recommend taking a boat tour of the lake, visiting the city of Como and getting a behind-the-scenes look at a silk workshop. We have a private boat moored in Argegno that can be rented for half or full-day trips. There are also scheduled water taxi services, ideal for exploring all that Lake Como has to offer.
I’d also recommended taking a guided hike to explore the mountainous surrounds and discovering the local gastronomy during a tasting session. We can organise everything from wine to cheese, truffle and chocolate tasting at the villa, as well as private cooking classes. There’s a golf course just 20 minutes away and plenty of historical villas surrounding the lake, as well as towns such as Bellagio to explore.
The closest ski area is only 25 minutes away but it is very small with only two pistes. Bigger resorts like Zermatt or St Moritz are a bit more than 2 hours away.
Villa Peduzzi is located in the village of Pigra, which perches 880 metres above Lake Como. It’s in a residential area but as the villa is set on 4.5 hectares it feels very private and you won’t see any neighbours. You’re just five minutes’ walk from the cable car that will whisk you down to the lakeside town of Argegno in four minutes or it’s a 40-minute drive by car.
There’s a pizzeria-style pub in Pigra where you can eat or San Fedele is a larger village around 10 minutes’ drive from the villa with a wider choice of restaurants and ATMs. There are many great restaurants including Michelin-starred restaurants within an easy 20-30 minutes drive. The closest snowfields are 25 minutes away or you can be in St. Moritz across the Swiss border in 2.5 hours.
June to September is absolutely amazing as you can enjoy the sun and the warm weather. But as we’re in a mountainous region, autumn and spring are also good as the landscape is changing all around you and you can go skiing. The only time that’s not ideal is perhaps the middle of winter in January or February when activities become limited.
