How would you describe Casa Inspiración in a nutshell?

Casa Inspiración is paradise, a dream come true. It is a luxury vacation villa rental located right on the beach of Mexico’s Pacific coast. We combine local architectural design with internationally inspired cuisine, exercise boot camps and fine service.

Casa Inspiración offers six bungalows, a spa and pool, TV room and, of course, the beach.

The amazing energy of this place will really relax you. The food will charm your senses with its scrumptious flavours. Also, the tequila is quite wonderful as well.

A lot of vacation guests come with a list of activities to do, but end up never leaving the house. Even if they go out for dinner to Puerto Escondido or elsewhere, they come back here for the rest of their visit because our food here is so good. Our local chef mixes Mexican traditions with all sorts of different styles of her own touch. The ingredients are fresh from the local market.

What was your inspiration to buy a villa in Mexico and turn it into a luxury vacation rental?

When we arrived in Mexico, it was nature that won us over. You’re in the middle of nowhere with mountains behind and the ocean in front of you. The environment is relaxing and almost therapeutic.

We had spent a couple of years searching for a property just like this one. This place, both its location and architecture fulfilled all what we had hoped to find.

Eventually, in 2013 we opened up Casa Inspiración to welcome our first vacation guests.

How would you describe the atmosphere at Casa Inspiración?

Casa Inspiración has often been described as paradise, offering guests to indulge themselves in a blissful state of mind, enabling them to let go and enjoy themselves. The vacation villa offers a very peaceful atmosphere, an intimate getaway set into an exotic location. What makes it such a special place is the combination of lush vegetation, contemporary architecture, traditional western Mexican elements, mouth-watering cuisine, and meticulous attention to detail which will invite our guests to get pampered and take in all of this place’s beauty.

What has been the biggest reward to you renting out Casa Inspiración as a vacation villa?

The type of people who come here are those who appreciate good food and good taste, and seeing that is very rewarding. We have received lots of positive feedback from our villa guests. Hearing about the wonderful time guests had while staying with us on vacation feels very good and at the same time makes us yearn to offer an even better experience the next time.

Casa Inspiración rooms & rates

Casa Inspiración is a very unique place as it combines Mexican, African and contemporary architecture. We wanted to include ideas we had gathered from our travels around the world.

The villa is big but designed in a way that it feels small and private. We are situated right by the Pacific ocean and therefore decided to keep the structures as open as possible to incorporate the natural surroundings.

Five of the six bungalows are oceanfront with private patios. They are built exactly the same and only distinguishable by their colour.

The kitchen of the main house opens up to the ocean. The palapa is a traditional architectural element of western Mexico. These open constructions provide shade from the sun while at the same time allowing the wind to flow undisturbed and act as a cooling breeze. Our palapa is larger than usual, situated right by the pool and with plenty of space for food gatherings and chill-out areas.

The other bungalow is in the back of the property, has a living room and a kitchen and overall provides more privacy than the ones right by the beach.

We limit the number of guests staying here at the same time to 14 to 16 people. This way Casa Inspiración never feels crowded. Also, our dining table only fits 16 people.

Included in the rates
Rates include a private chef, 3 housekeepers and a watchman. Food is not included, however the staff at the house will do all grocery shopping for you and will hand you all receipts.
Extra charges
It is recommended to leave 250 pesos per guest per day as tip for the staff.

We offer five-star service at the villa and the spa, with the food we serve and the other services we offer. We do have a chef on-site who can prepare breakfast and dinner for our vacation guests. We also offer private yoga classes and massages at our spa.

We can arrange for a nanny to be hired to care for the kids while the parents go exploring. Also our night watchman ensures security so that our guests can feel at ease and enjoy a peaceful rest.

There are several other services we offer to our villa guests, such as airport pick-up and drop-off, grocery shopping, and we’d also be more than happy to arrange activities such as surfing classes, water skiing, and Eco-tours.

Casa Inspiración also has an office space with Wifi at the house.

From November until May there are few waves and with the ocean being rather flat. it is just the right time to go for a swim. Taking a walk on the beach is also always a good idea.

Our guests can rent boats to go fishing or look for dolphins. It is only about 15 mins away and most of the times you will be able to see dolphins during your trip.

La Laguna de Chacagua is a national park lagoon and a paradise for birds. Even though it is quite a drive to get there, it is definitely worth a visit. The guides will take you through several small lagoons to the final destination where the lagoon enters into the ocean. The beach here, with its white sand, is almost virgin-like.

And especially during the rainy season this location is perfect for surfing. We can arrange surfing lessons for our guests.

We had a wonderful time, the house is amazing but that spot on the beach… it felt like we had 10 miles of sand to ourselves. Adriana’s staff were all great and the food was just a dream, just-caught fish, all those avocados, fresh coconuts. It was the perfect start to a great trip. The location of Casa Inspiración

Casa Inspiración is located in the state of Oaxaca, 18km away from Puerto Escondido, a fisherman town with the closest airport and La Punta beach. We are right on the beach and there are only a few houses around, so the beach is never crowded. It’s far from town so the only people you would meet are fishermen or the few people who live in the houses. There are several other beautiful beaches close-by, such as Mazunte beach.

The location is full of ecological hotels. Think of a Mexican version of the Italian Liguria Coast with lots of rocks and beautiful water.

Many people are often drawn towards Mexico’s southernmost point for the particularly good energetic vibe.

When is the best time to visit Oaxaca?

Every season is different. To me, the most beautiful one on this part of the Mexican coast is winter, from November to May. During the summer, July through October, it rains a lot, so everything is lush and green. It’s a tropical rain, raining really hard for 20 mins and then the sun comes out. The ocean is rougher during that time. It gets very hot during summer time, both day and night.
