Le Marche Villa
Le Marche Villa is a stunning contemporary vacation villa close to the Adriatic coast in the heart of the Marches, the New Tuscany.
After years of visiting Italy, we turned our dream of owning a house there into reality.
How would you describe Malatesta Maison in a nutshell?
Malatesta Maison is a hidden gem in the hills near the Adriatic Coast. With breathtaking valley views, it exudes a modern vibe that seamlessly blends with the calming, natural surroundings. Malatesta Maison is an ideal spot for families or groups looking for a comfortable escape in Marche, with easy access to charming towns and beaches.
What is the story behind it, what was your inspiration to buy the property?
After years of visiting Italy, we decided to turn our dream of owning a house there into a reality. The turning point came during a visit to the region at the end of Covid, prompting us to embrace the beauty and possibilities of the Italian lifestyle, sooner rather than later.
The previous owners also rented out the villa. Are there any changes you made since you bought the villa?
We've made some enhancements to the house, opening up the entire villa to create a total of nine bedrooms. Additionally, we've introduced a new entertainment lounge equipped with a TV and PlayStation. While incorporating air conditioning, we've endeavoured to preserve the timeless beauty and charm that the house has always exuded.
How would you describe the atmosphere and the interior design of Malatesta Maison?
Considering the property’s stunning backdrop and hillside setting, we aimed to create a modern vibe in harmony with the calming, natural surroundings. Our interior design focus was to seamlessly complement the environment, from the choice of furnishings to the use of natural linen in the bedrooms.
We want to ensure that every guest enjoys their stay, immersed in the beauty of the surroundings.
To you personally, what is so special about Malatesta Maison?
It is the perfect place to unwind amidst breathtaking surroundings. The chance to indulge in local cuisine and wine while soaking in the serene valley views brings a sense of bliss. With beautiful beaches just 40 minutes away and easy access to Rome (4.5 hours drive), Florence (3.5 hours), and Perugia (less than one hour), it offers a relaxing escape that feels secluded, without being remote.
Malatesta Maison comprises three distinct buildings. The main house impresses with a grand entrance leading to a state-of-the-art kitchen and spacious living and dining areas, along with six bedrooms. The second house offers three bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and private entrance.
The wellness house, our third building, is dedicated to rejuvenation. It features a sauna, a hammam, a jacuzzi and an outdoor pool for refreshing dips beneath the open sky.

Guests can enjoy our beautiful outdoor spaces designed for dining and relaxation, as well as the sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and outdoor pool. Entertainment options include a smart TV with PlayStation and a collection of board games.
Linen is provided in the bedrooms and we offer a mid-week towel change, and baby cots and high chairs are available. On-site experiences are easily arranged and we partner with several exceptional companies that offer everything from pasta and pizza-making classes to private chefs and excursions to the Conero coast.
Guests can spend their days indulging in the villa's pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. We can organise hands-on experiences such as pasta and pizza-making lessons with a private chef, as well as truffle adventures. Alternatively, explore the Conero Coast and the surrounding towns or visit the numerous wineries in the Marche region.
For a beach day, head to Senigallia on the Adriatic Coast, which is just a 40-minute drive away. Scalo Zero is a fantastic spot for a meal before a refreshing dip. Alternatively, take a drive to Umbria where we love to enjoy the wine at Enoteca Properzia in the beautiful town of Spello.
My highlights:
A trip to the Conero Coast to enjoy the pristine beaches and fresh seafood.
For art and culture, spend a day in Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled atop a hill. Don't miss trying the local delicacy, piada (la crescia sfogliata), for a true taste of the region's culinary heritage.
Experience the magic of Chef Samuel (from Chefaway ICE) during an evening under the trellis as he cooks up an Italian feast while enjoying the breathtaking backdrop of the beautiful valley.

Marche has something special to offer, no matter what time you choose to visit. In spring, vibrant flowers and lush greenery create a scenic backdrop for activities like hiking.
Summer is ideal for exploring the region’s medieval towns and relaxing on the Adriatic beaches, with lots of cultural events and festivals taking place.
Early autumn (September to October) offers mild weather and fewer crowds, and is the grape harvest season for wine tasting. The truffle season extends from late autumn to early spring (peaking from October to December). Truffle enthusiasts can indulge in the region's renowned dishes and join truffle-hunting events.
