Designed in a Renaissance style, Villa Montagnac was originally built in 1557 and has been altered several times since. Despite this, it has retained a harmonious aesthetic and balance throughout the space.
When you enter the building, you’ll arrive in a hallway with checkerboard flooring that leads to a vaulted living room with a fireplace on your left. To the right is the main dining room featuring a table crafted by local artisans.
If you continue down the hallway, you’ll arrive at a magnificent ballroom featuring a grand piano and sofas decorated with Missoni fabrics. Adjacent is the property’s 9th-century chapel and a tower set across five floors. Here there are five small bedrooms, one on each of the floors.
On the first floor of the main residence are three master bedrooms, plus two smaller bedrooms and a dressing room. Villa Montagnac is ideal for three couples with their children. Children of all ages are welcome to stay and we can provide cots and high chairs on request.
Surrounding the property is a large park that was established in the 19th century and provides a sanctuary for a variety of birdlife. It is watched over by a partially covered terrace where you can relax throughout the day. Fruit trees are dotted throughout the grounds and there’s a picturesque pond filled with carp. In addition to enjoying a hit of tennis, you can swim in the 17 x 8-metre swimming pool, which has its own changing room and shower.
