Villa Divina III’s location allows guests to experience the best of both worlds. It offers a tranquil and natural setting while being within a short distance of beautiful beaches and Skiathos Town. It’s close to the Mandraki Natural Reserve, which is known for its scenic beauty and ecological significance, and offers opportunities for walks and exploration.

Skiathos is also renowned for its beautiful beaches, with several nearby, each with its own charm. The closest is Kechria Beach, which is around one kilometre down the hill. A further 200 metres will take you to Ligaries Beach. Other popular beaches include Mikro Aselinos, Elias Beach, Banana Beach and Lalaria Beach, which is only reachable by boat (luckily we also offer this). On Skiathos, there are beaches for everyone, from lively and organised to secluded and natural.

My highlights are:

I’d recommend visiting Koukounaries Beach, which is considered one of the best in Greece. It features soft, golden sands and crystal-clear waters surrounded by a pine forest. Koukounaries Beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. It's a must-visit for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Only accessible by boat is Laria Beach, which is known for its unique white pebbles and impressive rock formations. The boat journey offers breathtaking views of the coastline, sea caves and the famous Tripia Petra or "Hole in the Rock.”

I’d also suggest visiting the island's capital, Skiathos Town, which is a vibrant place with a picturesque harbor, cobblestone streets, and a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. You can spend a day exploring the town's historic sites, including the Bourtzi Peninsula, the harbour fortress and Papadiamantis House, a museum dedicated to the famous Greek author Alexandros Papadiamantis.

These are just a few of Skiathos’ highlights. The island also offers beautiful hiking trails, water sports, and opportunities to explore its natural beauty, making it a great destination for a well-rounded vacation.

The location of Villa Divina III

Villa Divina III is located in the Kechria area of Skiathos, which is known for its tranquil and picturesque surroundings. It’s around 20 minutes’ drive from Skiathos Town (the main town on the island), a vibrant hub with a range of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions. Around 25 minutes away is Skiathos Airport, ensuring convenient access for travellers.

There are no restaurants within walking distance but guests can easily drive to the beachside tavernas nearby (10 minutes drive) or into Skiathos Town.

When is the best time to visit Skiathos?

The best time to visit Skiathos depends on your preferences and what you want to experience. Each season on the island has its own unique charm:

Spring (May to June): Spring is a lovely time to visit Skiathos. The island starts to come alive with blooming wildflowers and the temperatures are pleasant but not scorching. It's an excellent time for nature enthusiasts who want to explore the lush landscapes and enjoy a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere.

Summer (July to August/early September): Summer is the peak tourist season on Skiathos and it's all about sun, sea and nightlife. The island is in full swing, with warm weather, long, sunny days and a lively atmosphere. The beaches and water activities are at their best during these months.

September: September is a fantastic time for those who prefer comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds. The weather is still warm and the sea remains inviting. The island's natural beauty really shines and it's an excellent season for relaxation and exploration.
